Greetings Medieval history buffs!

Today we're going to be using a tool called Tiki-Tokito create a timeline that allows us to compare and contrast Medieval Europe and Medieval Japan.
Each of you will contribute important facts (or 'stories')that you have researched by adding them to the timeline.Your 'stories' are events and topics that are chosen for you on the:

STUDENT TIMELINE PAGE

This will result in a fantastic collaboration of work!

We will research using websites that are linked to this page. - (That takes some of the pressure off!)

Firstly, lets look at how we access the timeline... it's pretty easy.

It goes like this: right click on the link below and select "Open in a new tab".

http://www.tiki-toki.com/timeline/entry/108738/Medieval-Europe-Japan/#vars!date=0573-12-19_11:15:28!

In the bottom left-hand corner, type in your name, and the secret word: ICT

If you are having any difficulties let Mr. Shane or Miss Rachael know.

The ADMIN tab should already be open like so:

If you click on CREATE NEW STORY, you can add your topics and events, as noted in the

STUDENT TIMELINE PAGE,

one at a time.

1) Give your story a title.

2) With the dates, unless you have a very specific one to work with (i.e. James' 1853 event), write the date as: 01 Jan <put your year here> 00:00:00

3) Enter story info that you have gleaned from your reseach

4) and lastly, select which category you are writing about,

Category for Alison - Jeb: Medieval Japan (For the sake of this project, "Medieval" and "shogunate" are the same thing)

Category for Jerram - Symantha: Medieval Europe

It's almost time to find your name and your research topics!

REMEMBER:

We know you're all highly capable so aim to put all of the topics/events in the timeline. Write at least two descriptive sentences about each one. However, if your topic is particularly complicated or hard to find information about, don't worry!

Just TRY YOUR BEST!!!!!

Any questions? Just ask Miss Rachael or Mr. Shane!

ONE LAST THING!!!! - Your principal and your parents or guardians will be emailed a copy of our finished timeline.

KEEP THIS IN MIND!!!
